About Jill

Autism specialist Jill Greene, MA., BCBA received her masters degree in Children’s Mental Health and Applied Behavior Analysis from Johnson State College in Johnson, Vermont (2003). She also received her bachelor's degree at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY in Brain and Cognitive Sciences (2000). She has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since December 2003.

She began her career in 2000 working as a 1:1 therapist for children with autism spectrum disorders in a home and school based program in Burlington, Vermont. In 2003, after earning her masters degree she moved into a supervisory position. In that role she developed and oversaw the implementation of individualized instruction, academic and social assessment, integration plans and behavioral programming for children aged 2-19. She used a variety of research based, ABA interventions including:

  • Verbal Behavior and the VB-MAPP
  • Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT)
  • Functional Behavior Analysis (FBA)
  • Social stories
  • PECS and Dynavox communication devices
  • ABLLS
  • Visual supports

 

Jill trained and supervised direct service staff and annually evaluated their performance. She facilitated scheduling and coordination of treatment services between program staff, parents, school personnel and related service providers as well as collaborated with school based special educators to ensure IEP goals were appropriate and taught effectively. Additionally she consulted with a variety of school districts around academic, behavioral and social needs of specific children with autism spectrum disorders. She regularly produced written consultation reports, individual children’s progress reports as well as Medicaid documentation.

In 2008 when Jill moved to Boise, Idaho she initially worked for developmental disability agencies (DDA) providing both IBI and DT therapy to children aged 3-12 in school, home, community and center based settings. In this role she met regularly with parents to coordinate treatment services. In 2010 she left that role to focus solely on the services offered by Idaho Autism Consultation.

Jill regularly attends the national conference on ABA (ABAI) where she is exposed to new research on effective interventions.
